Pitch for your Ideas

I decided to create a brief video explaining what I intend to create for my music video and the main points and ideas I wish to see incorporated into my music video. Furthermore, I have explained the key features of the video will be and what the meaning and use of the shots and storyline are, as well as discussing house themes and promotional tools within the video.

"For my A2 Media Studies coursework, this week I had to do a pitch for my ideas and what I wanted to include in my music video. I have decided to include a circular narrative, where the character will finish the video where he started – in the bathroom of the house. Throughout the video it will display vague images of the character, giving my video a loose narrative so the audience can then interpret the video in how they want, as well as having discussions with friends, helping to promote the video by word of mouth and in online discussions. I will try to create a mysterious, dark house theme to add effect to the video, as if the colours were bright throughout the video, the effect would be softened and would not look as effective. There will also be several scenes on the performance side of the song to add further interest to people who are musicians themselves, or have an interest in the subject. I will also speed up and slow down scenes as well to add further cinematic effect to the video, as this will allow the audience to keep up with the film as well as being able to take in everything without losing a sense of time and feeling disorientated."
